"I'm Back Ya'll! Plus I Am Now Offering Personal Readings To My Online Community!

I'm back y'all! Did you miss me? Yeah, I know. But don't worry because as my Shaman Nana used to say: "weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning!" *chuckles* So don't be sad. Be glad! The thing is, I haven't been gone-gone, just not posting blog articles. So, let's talk about it!

SO WHERE HAVE I BEEN?

Well, as many of you dear readers who follow my blogsite may already know, I have been investing much more time in making this blog more interactive by creating blog sections for more tarot and witchy content such as "Sage's Card of the Day," "Sage's Numerology," and my newest addition, "Sage's Messages of The Day," where I provide a tarot and/or divination video reading for my fellow witches and peeps who appreciate an intuitive message either before or after a busy day of work without having to log on to one of the many mainstream social media platforms to get it. 

I've also been posting weekend tarot or channeled message readings, usually on a Sunday for you as the perfect day for you to either start your Sunday mornings or to wind down in the evenings to enjoy one of my "intuitive soul sessions" in the form of tarot for your entertainment and enlightenment. These weekend video readings can be found on the "Tarot and Divinations Videos" tab.

So, as I stated before, I wasn't "gone-gone," just focused on creating more content on my own platform where I have more creativity, autonomy, and freedom of expression, without having to tackle the ever-changing rules of the algorithms and without becoming overly-consumed with the analytics and vanity metrics of those platforms which really does a number on one's mental health and esteem at the end of the day, let me tell ya. And I don't know about y'all, but ya girl needs all of her good sense and mental stability that the Divine has bestowed upon her, ya dig? 😉

SO WHAT AM I CURRENTLY DOING?

Well, in addition to investing more time and energy into creating content here at One Wise Sage, I have recently created my YouTube business podcast channel called @WizdomandSage where I share spiritual business tips for my fellow spiritual business owners and women entrepreneurs who feel left out when it comes to providing down-to-earth, but very real and valuable information for business success in the extremely competitive spirituality and creative industries, as an indigenous woman and a first-generation business owner like myself! 

Unfortunately, many of us are left out of the business conversations and spaces when it comes to our own unique professional and personal challenges, so I am doing my part to fill in that gap.

I still have my main YouTube tarot channel @SagetheUrbanWitch however, but I recently stopped posting new tarot readings and content over there and pivoted to doing that over here, instead. And why? Many reasons, but the main reason is because after six long years, I was still not seeing a ROI of my time and energy that I continued to invest in the channel, which as I mentioned before has been compromised since I first started the channel. And, as you can imagine, this took the joy and fulfillment out of creating and posting tarot and divination content on the channel that I once had. Instead, it began to feel more like a burden and a chore without any reward in sight. And I'm not about that life!

Also, because my focus shifted more towards using YouTube to promote my tarot and spiritual services business rather than making YouTube one of my various streams of income, I decided that the wisest choice would be to move away from continuing to create tarot content on that particular channel altogether.

There were other reasons for my channel's lack of return on investment or growth in my humble, witchy opinion as well. I mean, let's face it, the tarot niche on YouTube is simply too oversaturated, and it is extremely difficult to maintain reach when you have "tarot addicts" who are the readers putting out five to ten damn videos a day because YouTube Ad Sense is their primary or ONLY source of income. So, they literally eat, shit, sleep, and live tarot on YouTube! 

Then, you have the "tarot addicts" who are the "drive by viewers" on the other side of the coin who consume tarot like a fat kid devouring cake at an all you can eat buffet, and then, after gorging himself on the "sweet stuff," just wipes his mouth and waddles off to the next reader and tarot channel for another "quick dopamine hit!"  And what person with an offline business, a family, a home, and ummm, a fucking life can compete with such lunacy? 

Certainly not I. So, after six and a half long, arduous years, I stopped trying. That doesn't make me a quitter as I see it. It makes me wise and knowledgeable about my worth and my value. It demonstrates that I am someone who knows when it is time to do a new thing because what I have been doing is simply not working.

My channel is still up though. And all of the timeless tarot readings and content that I posted on my channel will remain there sort of like a comprehensive video portfolio of my "tarot work," so that future viewers and prospective customers can get a glimpse of my style and skills with tarot and divination readings. But I felt it was long overdue to close that chapter of my witchy life and to open up a new one and I am very excited!

SO WHERE WILL I BE CREATING AND POSTING TAROT READINGS NOW?

Well, moving forward witches and peeps, I will be creating and posting tarot reading videos here at One Wise Sage under the "Tarot and Divinations Videos" and "Sage's Message of the Day" tabs. I have also decided to return to my tarot & spirituality podcast, "Sippin' Tea & Tarot with Sage Podcast" to create Season II which I will post both on Spotify and here at One Wise Sage! So stay tuned for that because it's going to be a blast! But that's not all folks!

I FINALLY EXPANDED MY OFFLINE BUSINESS TO INCLUDE ONLINE READINGS!!

Yep! You heard me right! After much planning, strategizing, time carving, and straight grinding behind the scenes, I have finally expanded my offline business to include offering tarot readings (and later spiritual services) to the online community! 

So, in hindsight I realized that the frustration and stagnation that I was experiencing with creating tarot content on YouTube was just divine re-direction to nudge me in a new direction and to prompt me to speed up the process by putting some fire under my bum to expand my offline spiritual business quicker than I was previously doing. 

My previous rationale was that I had already established a loyal and sizeable clientele and customer base offline, so why add on more to that? However, after going back and forth with hubby who is my number 1 supporter, I realized that it was mostly fear that was holding me back. Mainly fear of taking on MORE customers which inevitably meant more responsibility. But growth is the name of the game when it comes to business. So, once again, I had to admit that hubs was right. And I hate it when I have to do that! lol! 😊

So, all in all, no time has been lost, guys. I have simply been learning as I go and discovering what particular platforms work best for me and which platforms are not a better fit and a better use of my time for promoting my spiritual business. Also, once I got clear on the truth that I am NOT a content creator, per se, but rather a spiritual business owner who creates content for the purpose of building my community and for promoting my business, all of the re-routing that I was forced to do began to make perfect sense!
